About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant to Creative Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dance and the performing arts, as well as strong communication and organizational skills. The role will support the Creative Director in all aspects of creative development, production management, and administrative tasks.
• Assist the Creative Director in managing creative projects from conception to completion
• Conduct research on various topics related to the creative process including costumes, sets, lighting, and music for dance productions
• Organize and maintain production schedules, budgets, and contracts
• Coordinate with vendors, performers, and other members of the production team to ensure smooth production and rehearsal process.
• Assist in marketing and promotion of productions, including social media content creation and distribution.
• Maintain a high level of organization for all creative projects and materials
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all creative projects are completed on time and to a high standard
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the Creative Director
• Enthusiasm and responsibility towards the project and organization
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills both written and verbal
• Passion for dance and the performing arts.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as Asana, Trello, or Basecamp
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Experience working in a dance production house or performing arts organization
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies
• Knowledge of production management and logistics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during productions and events.
